Listen, I’m all about teachable moments and educational games and activities, but let me assure you that Peppa Pig has been on repeat on the iPad. And always loyal to her Disney princesses, Tangled has this one’s attention as I write this. Tablet tips for the car: download a few movies for when cell service is lagging or non-existent. Tablet only has Wifi? Use your cell as a hotspot. Nick Jr, Disney Plus, and PBS Kids are Bug’s three go-to movie/TV apps. Disney will let you downloads movies (so will Netflix) as part of your subscription, but the others require an internet connection. Favorite apps: ABC Mouse (yes, worth the price) and Cubic Frog (also a subscription but I dig the variety). I have some older posts on details of why I love these. Headphones: can plug in or go Bluetooth when I remember to charge them. I can only hear Elsa sing “Let It Go” so many times.
