Staci Thomas, M.S., L.P.C.-Associate

Staci ThomasHello! My name is Staci Thomas, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, supervised by Kate Jennings, M.Ed., L.P.C.-Supervisor.. I received my B.S. from Texas Woman’s University and a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. I am a native of Fort Worth and love serving clients at The Bug and Bee.

My desire to assist children and their families through counseling stems from my childhood experience with a family tragedy. The impact of this incident on my family motivated me to obtain the skills needed to guide others through the therapeutic process by providing resources and emotional support.

I have more than 7 years of experience as a special education teacher, and recently moved into the role of primary school counselor. Assisting clients in these positions enabled me to gain training in art therapy, trauma, anxiety, grief, ADHD, behavioral intervention plans, learning disabilities, IEP review, emotional regulation, and collaboration with school support teams. Additionally, I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in clinical and school settings.

With a cognitive-behavioral and solution-oriented approach, I collaborate with my clients to create a toolbox of practical skills tailored to their individual needs. My mission is to ensure that clients feel empowered to use their toolbox in any circumstance.
