Ali Cabral, M.Ed., L.P.C.-Associate

Hi, I’m Ali Cabral, and I am a L.P.C.-Associate supervised by Kate Jennings, M.Ed., L.P.C.-Supervisor. I am passionate about helping youth learn and grow. I have been teaching children in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade for 14 years. I also have children/teenagers of my own so I understand the day to day difficulties life can throw at them. Between my experience in education and personal experience with foster-to-adopt, I have been familiarized with:

• anxiety
• attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
• autism
• emotional regulation difficulties
• learning disabilities
• major depressive disorder
• post-traumatic stress disorder
• reactive attachment disorder
• Parenting

I most commonly use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, and Sandtray Therapy. I have training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy as well. I love to integrate sandtray, play, and art whenever appropriate to create a fun and safe environment for clients to express themselves.I believe children and teens will heal when given the time, resources, and the opportunities. I would love to be a guide along your child’s path to healing!
